Anxiety

Anxiety presents feelings of fear and general worry that can be overwhelming and take up your headspace, making it difficult to focus and feel present. I help clients learn to notice, challenge and refocus their thought patterns and beliefs, while also learning to apply mindfulness tools to manage anxiety symptoms.

Depression

Depression seeps into your consciousness, twisting and turning your thoughts and beliefs into unhelpful, hurtful, and dark places. Like a fly that won’t go away, it hangs around wanting to convince you that things are pointless and not worth it, that things will not be better. I help clients learn to adjust their thinking to see another side, while also learning to examine what they can focus on in the present moment, as opposed to dreading everything around them. We discuss coping skills and action steps, their levels of willingness, and what is in their control.

Women’s Mental Health

I work with women who experience challenges with body image and are facing reproductive struggles such as postpartum anxiety, depression and infertility. We discuss approaches of body neutraility, how to challenge intrusive thoughts, and build helpful coping skills to regulate your emotions. I also help those who generally feel stressed trying to manage their day to day routines, famillies, and indvidual selfs. I also am here to support women navigating dating and relationships to help explore their own needs, communication skill building and conflict resolutions.

Trauma

Trauma is an event that has happened to you that has left a significant impact. Your sense of coping has been affected by something distressing or disturbing. Your mood, sense of emotional and physical safety, are not intact. Whether this event happened years ago, during childhood, or just this year, it keeps showing up in your physical body, your anxiety, in your ability to focus, or your general sense of self. I help clients process and discuss their trauma by offering a structured approach to establish safety, coping skills, check-ins, and weekly homework. I also incorporate approaches to challenging unhelpful beliefs about yourself or the event itself that are causing you to feel stuck.
